Life has recently taught me that moments matter. The big ones, the small ones... they all matter.  When both of my parents were diagnosed with Alzheimer's Dementia, it was clear to me that what took their minds back to a happier place were the photographs they had taken throughout their life.  Somehow those images triggered memories thought to be long gone. I watched the smiles creep across their faces and heard the sighs in their voices as they were transported to a simpler time, merely by gazing at an old photograph.

Photography, for me, should make a person feel something- joy, fondness, nostalgia, even laughter. Capturing that kind of love for families to hold on to for life is a humbling honor for me.  I'm eternally grateful.
